Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Desire for certification as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Take patients to rooms and obtain vital signs.
• Assist with medical procedures and perform phlebotomy.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and handle billing/coding tasks.
• Greet patients, schedule appointments, answer phones, and perform clerical work.
• Process prior authorizations and complete FMLA paperwork as needed.
