Job summary

Wee Care Pediatrics in Roy, Utah is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside a provider caring for sick and well visits, rooming patients, taking histories, and assisting with procedures.

The schedule is full-time, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8am–5pm, with a supportive pediatric-focused environment. Prior MA experience and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous MA experience desired; pediatrics preferred.
• Ability to communicate with providers, staff, and patients/parents.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple demands in a fast-paced health care environment.
• Demonstrate compassion and understanding for the patient and families.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document medical history.
• Take vital signs and document symptoms/complaints.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Update patient charts and order lab tests.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the provider.
• Assist with in-office procedures (sutures, casting, circumcisions, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
