Job summary

White Plains Hospital seeks a Pediatric Medical Assistant for the Armonk clinic. This full-time daytime position supports physicians and nurses, performs clinical and front-office duties, and follows the NYS MA scope of practice under direct supervision.

The role includes patient flow coordination, data collection, vital signs, specimen collection, assisting with exams and procedures, EMR duties, charting, scheduling and insurance verification, room maintenance, and infection control per policy.

Qualifications

• High School required or GED.
• Basic Medical Terminology (Low proficiency).
• Electronic Scheduling (Low proficiency).
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience (Medium proficiency).
• BLS within 3 months of hire within 90 Days Required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
• Fulfills patient care responsibilities such as checking schedules, guiding patient flow, and assisting during exams.
• Schedules surgical procedures/tests and handles insurance verifications and patient demographics.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and ensures infection control protocols are followed.
• Assists with EMR/EHR tasks and patient charting as part of the care team.
