White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Physician practice Medical Assistant to perform a variety of clinical and office duties under the Physician/Provider/Nurse's direct supervision. Medical Assistants must adhere to the NYS Medical Assistant scope of practice.

The role includes managing patient flow, assisting with exams and procedures, charting, scheduling tests, verifying insurance, and supporting EMR/EHR workflows. Strong attention to infection control and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• EMR experience required.
• BLS within 3 months of hire required.
• CMA preferred but not required.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge is expected.
• Electronic scheduling experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to performance standards, policies and behaviors.
• Manage patient flow, accompany patients to exam rooms, assist with procedures and taking histories.
• Schedule procedures and tests, verify insurance, update charts.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Assist with EMR/EHR and queue laboratory/radiology orders.
• Support patient rights and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Assist with vital signs, prep for exams, and basic clinical tasks.
• Collect and handle lab specimens; perform basic ECGs and waived tests as allowed.
