Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Graduate of a medical assistant program preferred; alternative: 6 months patient care experience.
• Experience in pediatric primary/urgent/specialty care preferred; immunizations experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinic cleanliness and safety.
• Assist physician during exams and procedures as directed.
• Administer immunizations and injections under supervision.
• Perform point-of-care testing and specimen handling as policy allows.
• Document vital signs, health screenings, allergies and medications; report concerns to nurse or provider.
• Support clinic operations and patient flow to reduce wait times.
