Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative duties. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care and specimen handling, performing basic lab tasks, and coordinating appointments and messages.

The role requires a High School diploma, CMA/RMA eligibility or active credential, and BLS certification or plan to obtain within six months. Outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification/registration as CMA or RMA within 90 days or active CMA/RMA status.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various health care services and specimen collection.
• Perform routine lab studies of specimens.
• Assist with administrative tasks like coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments and phone messages.
