Job summary

Advocate Health’s Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC seeks a Pediatric Medical/Surgical Float RN to provide and coordinate care on a 36-hour work week, 3 shifts of 12 hours (7pm–7am). The role involves weekend/holiday rotations, cross-training opportunities, and potential cross-training after one year based on department needs.

You will work with a team across pediatric units, maintaining high standards of care and patient safety while supporting cross-trained specialty areas.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
• At least one year of pediatric in-patient RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum using evidence-based practice and effective communication.
