Job summary

BrightStar Care of Lubbock is seeking a Pediatric LVN for a one-on-one private duty pediatric assignment in Lubbock, TX. The role involves school-hour nursing care, medication administration, and coordination with families and schools.

Requires an active Texas LVN license and BLS/CPR cert. Trach/vent experience is a plus; reliable transportation and internet access are expected for scheduling and charting.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Pediatric/private duty/home health experience preferred but not required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Trach and ventilator experience is a plus.
• Respiratory care experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn portable defibrillator management.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Own device and reliable internet connection to access schedule and charting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during school hours.
• Administer medications as ordered.
• Monitor respiratory status and changes in condition.
• Monitor and manage the portable defibrillator.
• Follow activity restrictions and safety measures.
• Communicate with the family, school, and care team.
• Complete required documentation.
