Job summary

CARING HEARTS HOME HEALTHCARE is seeking a compassionate LPN to provide one-on-one in-home nursing for a pediatric patient with complex medical needs. You will manage tracheostomy and ventilator care, monitor respiration, administer treatments, and educate the family in a home setting.

Schedule: Day shift 9:00am–9:00pm, 3 days per week with every other Saturday and Sunday; 12-hour shifts. Must hold an active LPN license and CPR certification; pediatric home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous pediatric home health experience preferred.
• Required experience with: Tracheostomy care, Mechanical ventilator management, Airway suctioning, Pediatric respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a pediatric patient in the home environment.
• Monitor and manage respiratory status, including tracheostomy and ventilator care.
• Perform routine tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management as needed.
• Administer medications, treatments, and feedings according to physician orders and the plan of care.
• Monitor vital signs and assess changes in the patient's condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with family members, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate and support family members regarding patient care and safety measures.
• Ensure compliance with all agency policies, state regulations, and nursing standards.
