Job summary

CARING HEARTS HOME HEALTHCARE is seeking a compassionate LPN to provide one-on-one in-home nursing care for a pediatric patient with complex medical needs in Eatonton, GA. The role requires expertise in tracheostomy and ventilator care, with a focus on family-centered care in the home setting.

The schedule features day shifts from 9:00am to 9:00pm, three days per week, with every other Saturday and Sunday on 12-hour shifts. A valid LPN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Pediatric home health experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, airway suctioning, and pediatric respiratory care.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a home care setting.
• Willingness to lift/position pediatric patients during 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a pediatric patient in the home environment.
• Monitor respiratory status, including tracheostomy and ventilator care.
• Perform routine tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management as needed.
• Administer medications, treatments, and feedings according to physician orders and the plan of care.
• Monitor vital signs and assess changes in the patient’s condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with family, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate and support family members regarding patient care and safety measures.
• Ensure compliance with all agency policies, state regulations, and nursing standards.
