Albertina Kerr seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care for children and adolescents in our Crisis Psychiatric Care subacute facility in Portland, Oregon. You will manage admissions, medications, vital signs, and basic triage, while supporting a multidisciplinary team and ensuring safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, medication reconciliation, charting, and health education.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required in Oregon.
• Completion of a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Previous mental health experience preferred, not required.

Responsabilités

• Assist admission by gathering medical information and processing orders.
• Provide routine healthcare including pain, nutrition, vision, vitals, and screenings.
• Provide basic triage and emergency care and document injuries.
• Manage children’s medications and liaise with pharmacy; implement medication administration protocol.
• Perform phlebotomy and nursing assessments for ESI.
• Assist with discharge medications and psychiatrist signature.
• Supervise line staff to maintain milieu safety and assist with unit activities.
• Provide health education (sleep hygiene) to clients with insomnia.
