Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest in Portland, Oregon is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to support clinicians and the Health Care Team. The LPN will perform focused nursing assessments, triage, and a variety of direct and indirect patient care tasks under supervision, documenting in KP HealthConnect and coordinating care.

Responsibilities include preparing visits, assisting with procedures, maintaining a safe exam space, and contributing to patient education and care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Practical Nurse License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire.
• Practical Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated clinical nursing skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Demonstrated literacy in using computers and keyboarding.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize patient visits with required tests and information.
• Perform focused nursing assessment and triage under supervision.
• Document data in electronic medical record and KP HealthConnect.
• Assist with a range of procedures and ensure patient safety.
