Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Augusta is seeking an LPN to provide direct pediatric nursing care in an outpatient setting. The role includes immunizations, vital signs, growth measurements, and assisting providers in clinical tasks for infants, children, and adolescents.

The successful candidate will hold an accredited Practical Nursing program credential, an active NC LPN license, and a current BLS certification, with pediatric experience preferred and proficiency in EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Active LPN license in good standing with the NC Nursing Board.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records.
• Strong understanding of pediatric immunizations, clinical procedures, and nursing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room pediatric patients; obtain vital signs and growth measurements.
• Perform nursing assessments within scope of practice and document findings in the EMR.
• Administer childhood immunizations following CDC/ACIP guidelines and verify VIS documentation.
• Administer medications as ordered (oral, IM, ID, subcutaneous).
• Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, RSV, urinalysis).
• May assist with phlebotomy and pediatric specimen collection.
• Support providers with complex pediatric tasks as needed.
• Conduct pediatric hearing and vision screenings.
• Provide age-appropriate education to parents and patients.
• Maintain infection control and proper handling of medical equipment.
