Orchard Place seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse/Certified Medical Assistant to support nursing duties at the Child Guidance Center. The LPN/CMA works with the treatment team to promote the health and well-being of children and youth in care and to assist psychiatric providers as needed.

The role is full-time with schedule set by the supervisor; candidates should have an LPN license or CMA certificate, pediatric/psychiatric experience preferred, and be prepared for required training and background

Qualifikationen

• Must have or be eligible for an LPN license or CMA certification.
• Background checks and fingerprinting are required.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance required.
• New staff orientation and mandatory trainings, CPR certification kept current.
• Preference given to Iowa-licensed candidates with pediatric/psychiatric experience.

Aufgaben

• Provides support to psychiatric providers and prepares information for clients being seen.
• Obtains vital signs and rooms clients for appointments with psychiatric providers.
• Addresses prescription refill requests and coordinates with outside labs as requested.
• Documents all medical assessments, phone calls, orders, and concerns in Avatar.
• Communicates promptly and professionally with clients, families, and staff; ensures concise notes in Avatar.
