Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System is seeking an experienced RN to join the Ground CCT unit, supporting LifeFlight operations and hospital-based care. The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, discharge planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You will ensure patient safety, manage complex conditions, and participate in 12-hour shift coverage. Strong neonatal nursing background and critical-care proficiency are essential for success in this demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• PALS, ACLS, and BLS active and maintained.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 2000 hours Level II/III Neonatal experience within two years.

Responsibilities

• Communicates patient progress and changes with physicians and care teams; documents discharge planning.
• Completes comprehensive nursing assessments and admission history with discharge planning.
• Ensures admission histories cover spiritual, cultural, developmental, educational, and psychosocial needs.
• Delegates nursing tasks based on staff competency and coverage.
• Performs reassessments when plans change or interventions occur.
