Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, dietetics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum two years of direct patient care as RN or RD with lactation experience.
• IBCLC certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Current AZ RN license or RD/RDN credential recognized by the Academy.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to families and staff regarding lactation issues to develop plans of care.
• Collaborates with care teams to provide lactation consultations and documentation.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and operational changes.
• Develops and evaluates continuing education for staff on lactation knowledge.
