Responsibilities

• Accurately schedules patients for specimen collections and collects specimens as needed.
• Operates Laboratory Information System to receive specimens and order tests with complete details.
• Maintains documentation of work performed and files requisitions, reports and lab materials.
• Maintains positive relationships with medical staff and hospital personnel; educates and supports lab customers.
• Ensures areas comply with CAP, CMS and CLIA accreditation under supervision.
