Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is hiring an Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant to join our team. The PAs perform minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as lumbar puncture, drainage, G-J tube placement, biopsies, and central line management under physician supervision.

The IR team includes 6 PAs with an APP Lead and supports patients at CHOP and expanding services at King of Prussia, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant required.
• Licensed Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania upon hire required.
• Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania within 3 months required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required upon hire; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cohort of IR patients with daily assessments and a family-centered plan of care.
• Perform advanced procedures listed in the scope of practice and credentialing process.
• Act as a consultant to multidisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Engage in scholarly activities including research and education; participate in ongoing professional development.
• Demonstrate commitment to patient safety and report safety issues to improve practices.
