Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA seeks a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a collaborative team ensuring safe, high-quality care for mothers and newborns. You will align with Georgia nursing standards and hospital philosophy while supporting family-centered care.

Responsibilities include implementing evidence-based practices, advocating for patients, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations in a fast-paced obstetric setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 60 days of employment start date.
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS within 60 days of employment start date.
• Current RN license.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree, or RN Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability for patients.
• Adhere to Georgia Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and ethics in all nursing activities.
• Advocate for patients and families and participate in care planning and delivery of Labor and Delivery services.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) works in collaboration with other members of the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) incorporates creative factors from Watson’s theory into his/her practice. Practices in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, Georgia Nurse Practice Act, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics for Nursing, and the institution’s nursing philosophy, Professional Practice Model. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date


• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date


• (RN) Registered Nurse


• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
