Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care RN to join our patient-centered PICU team. The RN collaborates with physicians, nurses and other specialists to protect, promote and optimize the health of critically ill children while advocating for families.

Applicants must hold an active RN license and nursing degree. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC and Pedi Care After Resuscitation within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

  • RN license required or diploma in nursing.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing or RN diploma.
  • ACLS certification required within 60 days of start date.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
  • PALS certification required within 60 days of start date.
  • TNCC certification within 6 months of start date.
  • Pedi Care After Resuscitation required within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with health care team to provide care for PICU patients.
  • Advocate for patients and families in alignment with hospital policies.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The PICU Registered Nurse (RN) works in collaboration with other members of the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. The registered nurse (RN) incorporates creative factors from Watson’s theory into his/her practice. Practices in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, Georgia Nurse Practice Act, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics for Nursing, and the institution’s nursing philosophy, Professional Practice Model. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Pedi Care After Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
