Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care RN to join a collaborative care team in a high-acuity unit. The RN will participate in diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy for pediatric patients, ensuring adherence to professional standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications include RN licensure with required certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, Pediatric Resuscitation), and an ADN/BSN or RN diploma.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required and certifications must be attained within stated timeframes (ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, Peds After Resuscitation).
• Education must include an Associate or Bachelor's degree or RN diploma.
• No Travel Required

Responsibilities

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The PICU Registered Nurse (RN) works in collaboration with other members of the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. The registered nurse (RN) incorporates creative factors from Watson's theory into his/her practice. Practices in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, Georgia Nurse Practice Act, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics for Nursing, and the institution’s nursing philosophy, Professional Practice Model. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Pedi Care After Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
