Job summary
Boys Town National Research Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Inpatient Medical Unit, a fast-paced 14-bed Pediatric Medical/Surgical unit. You will lead nursing care, coordinate patient activities, and support staff in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team.
The role requires an RN license, BLS/CPR and ACLS/PALS within six months of hire, with opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications
- RN license/certification required.
- ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
- Computer literacy with electronic medical records required.
Responsibilities
- Use nursing process to complete admission assessments across physical, cognitive, spiritual and functional domains.
- Plan, implement, and revise individualized care plans.
- Provide age-appropriate patient and family education.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting to care team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for discharge planning and care transitions.
- Participate in in-services and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain Joint Commission readiness and contribute to department performance initiatives.
