Job summary

Nexus Children’s Hospital – Houston is seeking a compassionate Psychotherapist to join our interdisciplinary clinical team serving children and adolescents with complex behavioral health needs in an inpatient setting. You will provide individual, group, milieu, and family psychotherapy, coordinate with psychiatry, nursing, and case management, and maintain an active caseload with regular therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Current Texas LPC, LMSW, or LCSW license required.
• Experience providing psychotherapy to children and/or adolescents preferred.
• Two+ years in inpatient hospital, psychiatric, residential, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Experience delivering individual, group, and family therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, milieu, and family psychotherapy per treatment plan.
• Maintain an assigned caseload and conduct regular therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including psychiatry, nursing, and case management.
• Document therapy sessions, assessments, and patient encounters timely.
• Participate in discharge planning and transition planning.
• Provide staff with psychoeducation and clinical strategies.
• Engage in program development and stay current with evidence-based practices.
