Job summary

Virginia Treatment Center for Children (VTCC) in Richmond, VA, is an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit. Nurses provide 24-hour care in a multidisciplinary team for ages 3–17 in acute crisis, guided by a non-coercive, healing model and shared governance.

Clin I–III staff follow physician orders, work within Virginia nursing regulations, supervise others, and rotate shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing from an approved program.
• RN to BSN enrollment within two years and completion within five years.

Responsibilities

• Follow physician/licensed independent provider orders.
• Practice within Virginia nursing regulations and ANA ethics guidelines.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to RN's, LPN's, and care partners as assigned.
• Shift rotations include nights, weekends, and holidays.
