Job summary

Seattle Children’s Nephrology Program is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our pediatric kidney care team. This clinic-based role focuses on managing an outpatient patient panel—seeing both new and return patients—while providing front-line support for families, primary care providers, and regional partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with a pediatric or family NP concentration.
• One year of pediatric or family-focused clinical experience.
• Active licensure in Washington as NP or PA with relevant certification.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Kidney Care: Evaluate and manage new and return patients (birth to age 21).
• Hypertension Management: Diagnose and treat pediatric hypertension per guidelines.
• Family Education & Holistic Support: Educate families on disease management and home care strategies.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and regional PCPs.
