Job summary

Phoenix Children’s is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support inpatient nephrology, collaborating with physicians and nurses to provide comprehensive kidney care for infants, children and adolescents.

This role involves care coordination, family education, daily rounds, discharge planning and participation in quality improvement, with opportunities to contribute to education and mentorship within a nationally recognized nephrology program.

Qualifications

• Advanced practice clinician with NP or PA scope in pediatric nephrology preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to provide inpatient kidney care and family education.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient nephrology care in collaboration with pediatric nephrologists.
• Evaluate, diagnose and manage kidney-related disorders in hospitalized children.
• Support pediatric patients requiring dialysis and CKRT.
• Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient units.
• Participate in daily rounds, discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Assist with quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
