Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Toledo is seeking an Infectious Diseases physician to join a team of two physicians and one NP. The role includes outpatient clinic care and unrestricted call coverage, serving patients in Northwest Ohio.

You will teach residents and medical students, participate in committees, and collaborate with The University of Toledo and Promedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital, with opportunities to attend Pediatric Ground Rounds remotely from Columbus.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent, required.
• Graduate of an approved Pediatric Fellowship program if applicable.
• Medical License in the State of Ohio, required.
• Unrestricted licensed physician, required.
• Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care and treatment to patients.
• Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions.
• Develops and implements treatment plans for patients according to protocols.
• Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
• Educates patients and families; coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.
• Participates in training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Stays up-to-date with medical advancements and research.
