Job summary

Children's Specialty Group (CSG) and CHKD in Norfolk, VA seek a fellowship-trained, board-certified or eligible Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician to join our team in a private practice with an academic appointment at EVMS/ODU.

The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient care for children with infectious diseases, teach medical students and residents, and participate in infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Inpatient and outpatient care experience with pediatric infectious diseases.

Job description

Children's Specialty Group (CSG) and Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) are seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. The successful applicant will provide inpatient and outpatient care for children with various infectious and communicable diseases. You will have the opportunity to work with clinical research team in addition to teaching medical students and residents. We welcome applicants with an interest in Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC). The successful candidate will play an active role in both infection prevention initiatives and antimicrobial stewardship efforts.

Physicians will have faculty appointment at Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University (EVMS at ODU) with all the benefits of a physician-owned pediatric subspecialty group. Anticipated Salary: $195,000 - $260,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
