Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification is required or licensure as applicable.
• State radiologic technologist license may be required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency across functions.
• Prepare patients, verify identity and orders, and perform exams per protocol.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within timeframes and assist/instruct students and staff.
• Provide patient education and address comfort and concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile technique.
• Operate equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of procedures and any adverse reactions.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and report issues.
