Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks a part-time BC/BE Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, as Clinical Faculty. The role offers direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings and opportunities to teach medical students and residents.

The ideal candidate completed an ID fellowship, is board certified or eligible in Pediatric ID, and is eligible for Illinois medical licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required and Illinois licensure eligible.
• Completion of Pediatric ID fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for routine and complex infectious diseases in inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings (part-time).
• Support Infection Control and liaise with local public health entities.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents in pediatric infectious diseases.
• Participate in academic didactic sessions, lectures, and conferences.
• Pursue research opportunities and collaborations with service lines.
