Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes delivering evidence-based nursing care, coordinating with physicians and support staff, and ensuring patient education and safety.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS/CPR, and at least six months of nursing experience or participation in our Nurse Residency Program.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license to work at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Six or more months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in HMH Nurse Residency Program.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health.
• Recognize status changes and adjust care accordingly.
• Coordinate and communicate plan of care with team.
• Provide patient/family education and support.
• Document assessments and interventions in real time.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation tools.
• Support safe patient transition during discharge.
• Demonstrate evidence-based nursing practice and adherence to standards.
