Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR through American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• PALS certification required.
• IV/port/telemetry certification required.
• 1–2 years of pediatric ICU nursing experience.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• National certification in specialty desired.
• Strong teamwork and patient-focused care required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safety.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharges to ensure safe transition and continuity of care.
