Job summary

Nicklaushealth in Miami seeks a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist for the PICU to advise on pharmacotherapy, optimize dosing, and ensure cost-effective, guideline-directed therapies while complying with state and federal laws.

You will participate in interdisciplinary rounds, educate residents and students, monitor order writing and dispensing, and help develop medication safety programs within the PICU.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required and Florida license.
• Experience in pediatric pharmacotherapy is preferred.
• ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Achieves cost savings targets and contributes to formulary management.
• Participates in clinical pharmacy programs and provides expert consultation.
• Educates pharmacy students, residents, and medical trainees on pediatric critical care pharmacotherapy.
• Documents quality activities and supports accreditation standards.
• Reviews and optimizes pharmacotherapy using hospital information systems and prescriber communications.
