Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in Fargo, ND. The position covers inpatient care with a typical schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., plus overnight call and callback as needed.

Clinicians will manage approximately 11 patients daily across Pediatrics and Nursery, with 1–3 admissions per shift. Epic is the EMR, and credentialing is expected within 45–120 days.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible pediatrician with active state license.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
• North Dakota medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage with ~11 patients per day.
• Manage 1–3 admissions per shift; overnight call/callback as needed.
• Night calls included in nightly rate with APRN/PA coverage.

Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

This facility is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: ASAP - Ongoing; 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with overnight call and callback as needed; preferred availability is one 7-10-day stretch per month.

Practice Setting: Inpatient

Types of Cases: Pediatric Hospitalist; approximately 11 patients per day across Pediatrics and the Nursery, with 1-3 admissions per shift. Evening call is primarily covered by an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant. Telephone calls are included in the nightly call rate; callback applies when the physician must report to the facility for direct patient care.

Credentialing Timeframe: 45-120 days
