Job description

Altoona, Pennsylvania, Pediatric Hospitalist Opening

• Clinical Role:
• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible pediatrician
• Permanent job opening
• 14 shifts per month, 7 on/7 off schedule
• 24-hour in-house coverage is not required during the 7-day week
• Neonatal NPs provide in-house night coverage and reduce night call-in
• Coverage of pediatric, nursery, and newborn patients, as well as inpatient consults
• Facilities include twenty-two bassinets for Level 1, 8 beds for Level 2 neonatal, with 1600 deliveries per year and a 12-bed pediatric unit
• Must have demonstrated experience with neonatal procedures such as resuscitation, intubation, lumbar puncture, venous access, umbilical catheter placement, and circumcision
• Opportunity for extra shifts for additional income
• Clinical academic appointment available
• Utilizes Cerner EMR
• J1 and H1 visa sponsorship available
