Job summary

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing is seeking a full-time Instructor/Assistant Professor with a primary focus on clinical practice at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Responsibilities include managing care for pediatric patients and providing health education, with additional teaching duties in the College of Nursing.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing and at least three years of experience in clinical practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact both patient care and nursing education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in nursing specialty from an accredited university.
• Three (3) years of clinical practice experience at RN level.
• Current DEA certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Unencumbered or eligible licensure as RN and APN in Tennessee.
• Current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in the Pediatric Hospitalist team.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under supervision.
• Participate in the design and revision of protocols.
• Collaborate with medical physicians and ancillary personnel.
• Manage care of children admitted to the Pediatric Hospitalist team.
