Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist in Mattoon, Illinois to join an established inpatient pediatric service line. The role offers a ~5-on / 10-off block schedule, flexible inpatient and call rotation, and high-quality pediatric care in a supportive community setting.

You will provide direct inpatient management, newborn rounds, and neonatal support for Level II nursery care. Qualified candidates hold an MD/DO with an ACGME Pediatrics residency, and are board certified or

Qualifications

• MD/DO graduate with US or international equivalent.
• Completed ACGME Pediatrics residency; board certified or eligible.
• Active Illinois medical license or eligible to obtain before start.
• NRP certification and DEA, CSR, and PALS credentials.
• Comfort with neonatology, Level II nursery, and high‑risk deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient medical management for pediatric admissions and nursery care.
• Attend high‑risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitations.
• Provide pediatric consultations for ED and surgical lines.
• Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate transfers as needed.
• Daily rounds, admissions/discharges, and handoffs to PCPs.
• Maintain EHR documentation and engage in quality initiatives.
