ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in Mattoon, IL is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our inpatient team. This role offers a ~5-on / 10-off block schedule with flexible rotations, focusing on high-quality pediatric inpatient care and newborn nursery support in a physician-led system.

You will manage pediatric inpatients, attend high-risk deliveries, and coordinate with neonatology for Level II care, while participating in quality initiatives and ensuring seamless handoffs to outpatient pediatricians.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
• ACGME-accredited Pediatrics residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license (or eligible for state licensure).
• NRP certification required; DEA registration, CSR, and PALS.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct inpatient medical management for pediatric admissions, nursery care, and Level II neonatology patients.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitations as required by hospital and clinical protocols.
• Provide pediatric consultations for the Emergency Department and surgical service lines.
• Stabilize acute or critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients, coordinating transfers to tertiary pediatric medical centers when appropriate.
• Perform daily inpatient rounds, manage admissions and discharges, and ensure clear handoffs to outpatient primary care pediatricians.
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and participate in clinical quality and safety initiatives.
