Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
• ACGME-accredited Pediatrics residency completed; Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license (or eligible for state licensure prior to start).
• NRP, DEA, CSR, and PALS certifications required.
• Strong clinical comfort level with neonatology, Level II nursery protocols, and attending high-risk deliveries.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct inpatient medical management for pediatric admissions, nursery care, and Level II neonatology patients.
• Conduct routine newborn examinations and manage specialized care for infants requiring neonatology support.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitations as required by hospital and clinical protocols.
• Provide pediatric consultations for the Emergency Department and surgical service lines.
• Stabilize acute or critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients, coordinating transfers to tertiary pediatric medical centers when appropriate.
• Perform daily inpatient rounds, manage admissions and discharges, and ensure clear handoffs to outpatient primary care pediatricians.
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and participate in clinical quality and safety initiatives.
