Job summary

Skagit Regional Health is recruiting a pediatrician to join our Pediatric Hospitalist program at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, WA. The role is full-time, hospital-employed, with a 0.75–1.0 FTE, and involves 24/7 coverage of a Level 2 nursery and occasional deliveries including C-sections.

You will work closely with OBGYN and midwife groups, FM/OB providers, and other community delivering providers, while contributing to teaching for SRH Family Medicine Residents and medical students.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified pediatrician.
  • Graduate from an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency.
  • Active Washington State medical license or ability to obtain one.
  • NRP and AHA PALS certifications.
  • Experience within a hospital-based pediatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 coverage as part of the Pediatric Hospitalist team in the Level 2 nursery.
  • Deliveries coverage when needed, including C-sections.
  • Collaborate with OBGYN, midwives, FM/OB providers and community delivering teams.
  • Participate in teaching SRH Family Medicine Residents and outside medical students.

Highlights


  • Join an existing team of experienced physicians providing 24/7 coverage to our level 2 special care nursery. Provide coverage for deliveries as needed, including C-Sections.

  • This is full time, hospital employed position. We are looking for someone who can work a 0.75-1.0 FTE.

  • Collaborate closely with our employed OBGYN and midwife groups, FM/OB providers, and other community delivering providers.

  • We are a teaching facility that provides an opportunity to work with SRH Family Medicine Residents and outside Medical Students, contributing to their educational journey while enhancing your leadership skills.

Qualifications


  • Graduate from an ACGME accredited program.

  • Board Certification in Pediatrics is required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a Washington State license by time to employment.

  • Current AAP NRP and AHA PALS certification is required

Compensation and Benefits


  • Salary: $184,708- $246,278 (Depending on FTE)
