Job summary

Cook Children’s in Fort Worth, Texas seeks a full‑time hematopathologist/general anatomic pathologist to join our growing team and support hematology/hematopathology, hematology‑oncology, and flow cytometry.

The role includes directing the hematology/hematopathology program and signing out a mix of hematopathology and general surgical pathology cases, with opportunities in transfusion medicine and coagulation. Texas licensing is required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• Board certification in hematopathology and anatomic or anatomic/clinical pathology.
• Pediatric pathology certification or pediatric hematopathology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the hematology/hematopathology program and sign out hematopathology and general surgical pathology cases.
• Provide opportunities in transfusion medicine and coagulation if interested.
• Support hematology and hematology‑oncology groups, including pediatric leukemia/lymphomas, histiocytic neoplasms, sickle cell disease, thrombosis, and bone marrow transplant.
• Assist gastroenterology, neurosciences, cardiology, and other departments with pathology needs.
