Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist for a position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Pediatrics to enhance a growing division.

The role includes care of inpatients and outpatients with a variety of pediatric hematologic and oncologic problems, including those followed at the OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois Cancer and Blood disorder Institute.

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
• Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• 3 years of Pediatrics Residency and 3 years of Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.
• MD/DO or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Care for inpatients and outpatients with pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Collaborate with the OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois Cancer and Blood Disorder Institute.
• Participate in teaching for medical students and residents.
• Organize and conduct bench and/or clinical research in pediatric hematology/oncology.
• Participate in multicenter research protocols (COG) and clinical trials.
• Contribute to curriculum development and student counseling.
