University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist for a position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Pediatrics. The role involves inpatient and outpatient care for a range of pediatric hematologic and oncologic cases, including leukemia and lymphoma, at OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois Cancer and Blood disorder Institute.

The department emphasizes teaching medical students and residents, and active participation in research and clinical trials

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
• Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• 3 years of Pediatrics Residency and 3 years of Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.
• MD/DO or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Care for inpatients and outpatients with pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Collaborate with OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois Cancer and Blood disorder Institute.
• Participate in teaching programs for medical students and residents.
• Organize and conduct bench and/or clinical research in pediatric hematology/oncology.
• Engage in cooperative research and clinical trials through COG.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program administration.
