Job description

I hope this message finds you well. I'm excited to present an outstanding Pediatric Hematology Oncology locum tenens opportunity in the beautiful state of Arizona! This role offers the chance to work with a supportive and dynamic team where your skills will be highly valued.

Position Details

1. Location: Arizona
2. Duration: ASAP-Ongoing, until permanently filled (1-year commitment preferred, minimum of 6 months)
3. Reason for coverage: Increase in patient volume
4. Schedule: 7 days per month, with 1 week of inpatient coverage (Monday-Sunday)
5. Shift: Flexible, 24-hour inpatient coverage with night call from home. Alternative option: daytime inpatient coverage 1 week/month without night call.
6. Call: Optional night call. Currently, an in-house nocturnist covers BMT patients from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m.
7. Patient volume: 10-15 inpatients
8. Scope of Practice: Pediatric Hematology Oncology for Bone Marrow Transplant patients (autologous and allogeneic), primary floor coverage with APP assistance, collaboration with PICU for ICU patients
9. EMR: Allscripts
10. Hospital: Level 1 Pediatric Hospital
11. Support Group: 3 BMT attendings available for backup, 4.8 APP coverage, Pre/Post BMT RN coordinators
12. Requirements: BC, ACGME or AOA accredited Residency and Fellowship, Active PALS (AHA logo), open to license and non-licensed providers; Active AZ license and/or IMLC Compact preferred
