Job summary

Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, Florida, seeks a Hem/Onc Charge Registered Nurse for full-time 30 hours/week to join our pediatric Hem/Onc team. This role offers clinical complexity, strong team support, and growth within a mission-driven organization.

Shifts available: Days 7A–7P and Nights 7P–7A. The Charge Nurse leads unit operations, collaborates with physicians, families, and staff to ensure safe, compassionate care for our pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher nursing degree.
• Active Florida or multi-state RN license.
• Course Completion within 30 days of hire date.
• APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy provider - Hematology/Oncology and Infusion Center within 6 months of hire.
• National certification in area of clinical specialty (preferred).
• INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY: ASN required; progress toward BSN in accredited program.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse implements the patient care delivery model for the patient and family.
• Utilize and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines to make clinical decisions.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment across the patient population of the assigned area.
• Lead nursing staff, mentor and preceptor, and collaborate with the inter-professional team.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure safe patient flow.
• Involve in governance, education, and quality improvement activities.
