Job summary

The Cook Children’s Heart Center in Fort Worth, Texas, seeks a Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist who has completed an accredited Pediatric Cardiology fellowship with additional training in managing heart failure, transplant, and mechanical circulatory support devices.

The role includes inpatient and outpatient care, participation in transplant evaluations, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, teaching and mentorship of trainees, and involvement in quality improvement

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Cardiology fellowship.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient management of pediatric patients with advanced heart failure and cardiomyopathies.
• Care for patients with mechanical circulatory support devices and pre-/post-heart transplantation.
• Participate in heart transplant evaluations and committee activities.
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, APPs, pharmacists, social workers and transplant coordinators.
• Engage in teaching, mentorship, and clinical/translational research.
• Contribute to quality improvement and regulatory/compliance initiatives.
