Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider Manager to provide strategic leadership to APPs across the UCSF Health Faculty Practice Organization and Benioff Children’s Hospitals. The role encompasses administrative, HR and clinical practice oversight, workforce planning, credentialing, education, and leadership responsibilities within the Pediatric Heart Center.

The successful candidate will be an expert clinician (APN/PA) with CA licensure and a strong track record in leadership, HR

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in clinical area of study (PA or NP)
• 4-6 years of experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in Pediatrics
• Knowledge of state/national regulatory requirements and ability to communicate to stakeholders
• Experience training, monitoring, evaluating and documenting staff issues and performance
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with clinical staff and management
• Advanced written and verbal communication; ability to mentor staff and present reports
• Knowledge of clinical/administrative software and data management systems
• Ability to develop differential diagnoses and lead patient management
• Leadership, fiscal, and operational management skills for cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to APPs across UCSF Health FPO and BCH Pediatric Heart Center
• Oversee workforce planning, orientation, cost center management, and optimization strategies
• Ensure APP compliance with organizational standards and state practice requirements
• Credentialing through Office of Medical Affairs and Governance; supervise administrative functions
• Lead cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver high-quality patient care
