Job summary

University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. seeks a Dietitian for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nephrology at the UMM Midtown Campus in Baltimore. Under limited supervision, you will provide optimal nutrition care to patients at high nutrition risk and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Nutrition or Dietetics, active Maryland licensure, and registration with CDR. Hospital RD experience preferred, with pediatric or GI focus encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field required
• Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) required
• Current licensure in the state of Maryland as a Dietitian/Nutritionist required
• Clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian at a hospital facility. Will consider experience during in non-hospital facility especially within Pediatric or GI related areas/populations
• Prior completion of a Specialty Fellowship Program or Specialty Certification: e.g. CNSC, CDE, CSR, CSP, CSO, IBCLC. 6. Commitment to working independently and building a strong, successful nutrition program within the Division of Pediatric GI.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal nutrition care to high-risk patients in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Educate, train, and support nutrition staff, dietetic interns, and technicians to advance their development.
• Identify resources within a matrix organization to support pediatric GI nutrition needs.
