NW Labs is seeking an experienced Genetic Counselor to join our clinical genetics and molecular diagnostics team. You will work with physicians, patients, families, and the NW Labs teams to support appropriate genetic testing and education.

The role emphasizes pediatric genetics, testing programs including WES and PGx, and collaboration across specialties to expand and support genomic testing services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program.
• Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) or equivalent certification.
• Current Michigan Genetic Counselor license or eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling and education to patients and families.
• Explain test indications, results, limitations, and implications.
• Support physicians in selecting appropriate genetic tests.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, neurologists, and other healthcare providers.
• Educate about WES and sequencing technologies.
• Assist in interpreting variants and inheritance patterns.
• Maintain documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Stay current with genomic medicine advances.
