Qualifications

• Certified Genetic Counselor through the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
• One year of clinical experience with patients and families preferred.
• Ability to obtain and interpret family, medical and test data; communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling to patients and families across many conditions and inheritance patterns.
• Obtain and interpret family history, birth history, medical history and test results.
• Coordinate lab testing and prepare written reports for physicians and families.
• Schedule patients and communicate timely genetic evaluations for prenatal and other patients.
• Travel for outreach clinics as required and educate communities on genetic services.
